Charleston Crawlspace Co is a locally owned and operated company that does one thing: it fixes and protects the crawl spaces under Charleston homes. We are licensed and insured, and we answer our own phone. We built the company around a simple idea. Crawl space work is invisible once it is finished. You will probably never see the liner, the seams or the sealed vents again, which means you are trusting the person who did the work. We would rather earn that trust than ask for it.

Why we started

Our background is in certified mold inspection and remediation across the Lowcountry. After enough jobs, the same pattern kept showing up. A homeowner would hire a company to encapsulate the crawl space, and the work would look fine on the day. Months later the smell would be back, the humidity would be high and mold would be growing again. When we got under the house, we would find the same causes: a liner laid over debris, vents left open, no way to drain water, no dehumidifier, or insulation left soaking above it all.

The problem was never the idea of encapsulation. It was the shortcuts. A system that is supposed to seal a space and control its moisture does not work if one of the pieces is missing. So we started a company that does the whole system, in the right order, with the cause of the moisture fixed first.
